You’re a great actor in your class, amazing in your living room, brilliant in the shower.

But when it comes to the actual audition, you’re not as good as you know you can be. If you want to find out what you may be doing wrong and how you can be better, this class is for you. Our two casting directors, Jim Kozloff and Jodi Collins will show you exactly what it takes to ace the audition and land that all important role. They’ll spend the evening exploring the business and process of auditions.

Plus: The differences in auditioning for TV, movies, theater and other acting work. Come learn strategies for acing your audition… every time!

Note: Please bring a photo, resume and short monologue. Some lucky students will be critiqued.

Jim Kozloff is the Senior Director of VH1 Talent Relations and Casting. He is responsible for casting and managing all on-air hosts, casting for all N.Y.-based series, specials and pilots and booking celebrity interviews.

Jodi Collins is a casting director/ producer with over twenty years experience in the entertainment industry. She casts film, television, theatre and web projects A few of her casting TV credits are “Strangers with Candy”, “The Chris Rock Show, Mystery Team” (soon available on DVD), “Stewie” due out in 2010 and the commercial campaign favorite “Whassup.” She has also cast shows on Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, IFC, VH1, FOX, and more.
