During each of our 7 veterinary segments (parrot, hedgehog, ferret, sulcata tortoise, snake and bearded dragon lizard, sugar glider, rabbit), Laurie will examine the animal, discuss care, nutrition, husbandry, and behavior. We may also perform some simple procedures such as taking blood, trimming nails, or other simple procedures. Dr. Laurie Hess is board-certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Avian Medicine and serves an exotic pet “expert” veterinarian for Animal Planet’s exotic pet series, “Little Pets 101,” and “Peculiar Pets 101” and “Faithful Friends.”
